Thanks for giving me the opportunity to talk about a goal I have and which I have achieved. In my life, I never have that strong willpower and many times I have had many goals but fail to achieve them. But also there were many goals I have achieved in my life. Such as getting admission to my dream university/college, win different tournaments.
But among them, I vividly remember is the one I had a few years back. It was around 5 years ago I made a new year’s goal and I had to make sure I achieve the goal within the year. In 2015 I sat for my higher secondary examination. And to prepare me well for the examination I spend lots of time at home.
It was around 2-3 months I stayed at home and studied. Due to a lack of physical exercise, I gained around 10 kgs of weight in 3 months. So I was looking very fat. I had lost my confidence and stopped going outside and meet my friends. But it made me more fat.
So at the beginning of 2016, I decided to lose weight so I can look slim again. So what I did was as suggestions from one of my cousins. He gave me 3 pieces of advice. First of all, you ask me to join the gym and I started going to the gym regularly. Every day I wake up at 6 A.M. and go to the gym for exercise. And then I spend there for about 1-hour every day.
The second thing he told me to control and manage my diet so I had to make a proper diet and list of foods that I should eat and I should ignore. I stopped eating sweet foods and my favorite chocolates. It was very hard for me because I was very fond of sweets and chocolates.
Then the last thing he suggests me to sleep on time so if I don’t sleep early it would be too hard for me to wake up for the gym and go there on time so that’s why I need it to sleep very early. My habit was to watch TV and use my phone before sleep and stay up till late at night and I also used to wake up very late.
So I stopped sleeping late and started to sleep on time. I did not stop watching movies and TVs but I just make sure to make a proper routine and I follow it properly. Also, the gym trainer told me to get proper sleep. At least 8 hours of sleep at night because it’s very helpful for muscle to regenerate and heal which is very important for our body.
After following this routine for around five once I finally able to reduce my weight. It makes you very confident. This is how I make a goal and achieved it.
